Art Gallery Imhof Fine Arts presents Salon Rouge – a staging in which contemporary art unfolds in an atmosphere of raw sensuality and neo-expressionist energy, transforming the space into a vibrant arena of colour, gesture and desire.
At the centre are Miklos Nemeth’s works from the Lady G’s Gogo Girls series. These paintings, executed in bold acrylic on paper, oscillate between figuration and abstraction, their gestural brushstrokes shaping voluptuous female bodies and faces into scenes charged with erotic tension. Dominated by fiery reds, purples and deep blues, the palette deliberately heightens erotic charge, passion and immediacy, evoking the rhythm of dance and the allure of performance. The female form – bare, exaggerated, simultaneously sensual and distorted – becomes both a subject of fascination and a vehicle of raw artistic expression.
In contrast, Roland Berger’s Pillar in Motion offers a sculptural meditation on movement and transformation. The slender bronze form twists upward with an inner rhythm, its polished surface alternating with raw traces that recall erosion, pressure and time. Suspended between tension and release, form and dissolution, the work embodies a silent energy – a timeless presence that balances Nemeth’s eruptive canvases with sculptural clarity and depth.
