Stele II - Roland Berger

Stele II resembles a fragment of solidified earth – a narrow, upright body that seems to have pushed its way to the surface like a tectonic layer. The bronze tapers upward, slightly bending as if shaped by internal pressure. Though minimal in form, it feels charged – as though it has taken shape through time, tension, and silent memory.

As in Stele, there is a sense of surreal lightness here. The work reads like a sign from an unfamiliar memory – somewhere between geological formation and sculptural gesture. It doesn’t assert itself, but resonates – a trace rather than a declaration, distilled and quietly embedded in space.
