Erotic in Blue - Miklos Nemeth

In Erotic in Blue, Miklós Németh fuses the emotional force of Neo-Expressionism with the archaic symbolism of Primitivism and the structural fragmentation of Cubism. Within an interwoven network of vibrant blue, bright white, deep green, and warm yellow and red tones, bodies and faces emerge as rhythmic contour lines, condensed into a pulsating, almost ornamental composition.

The figures are only loosely defined, often reduced to simple, almost naive forms—a deliberate nod to the directness and immediacy of early art traditions. At the same time, Németh breaks the pictorial surface into segmented planes, reminiscent of Cubist techniques, creating a layered sense of movement and time. The work oscillates between sensual suggestion and abstract ornament, between primal form and modern visual language—a tension that engages the viewer both emotionally and formally.
