Art Gallery Imhof Fine Arts presents Essence of Light, a showroom that celebrates the transformative power of light throughout the day within a minimalist interior. At the center are the works Pure Dawn and Silent Radiance by Ana Barbić Katičić. Together, they form a visual journey: while the cool lavender tones of Pure Dawn capture the pure air of the early morning, Silent Radiance emanates the majestic silence and glowing light of a coastal evening. The paintings function as windows that flood the room with the changing energy of the sea.
The staging strategy utilizes the vertical alignment of the white plinths to create a clean frame for the art. The ensemble is complemented by the sculpture Female Torso Fragment by Veit Korn. Crafted from Jurassic limestone, this work is a deliberate homage to classical Greek antiquity, creating a profound link to the cultural heritage of the Mediterranean. Its organic, archaic form provides a timeless contrast to the flowing abstraction of the canvases.
